I like a plan.  I like to know where I’m going and where I will end up.  Sometimes I even ask how a movie ends to decide whether or not I’m going to waste time watching it.  I like to know the plan.

The problem with wanting to know the plan is that if the plan goes off course, it shakes me up a bit!  However, believe it or not (even with what appears to an Obsessive Compulsive Disorder) I like spontaneity, too!  So if Plan A doesn’t work out, then I’m okay to go with Plan B.  I like change and improvement – but I like to know why and where we’re going with Plan B.

So you can imagine when my Plan A and my Plan B don’t go as I imagined, that I start feeling a little uneasy and then need to figure out Plan C.  But I’m learning through my Christian life that I can have a plan ALL THE WAY TO PLAN Z and if God’s plan is different, my plan doesn’t matter.

God’s plan will always win out.  No matter how I try to control it and end up messing it up.  His plan is better.  His plan is bigger.  His plan is more exciting.  His plan is the best.
Ephesians 1:11(a)  – In Him we were also chosen, having been predestined according to the plan of Him who works out everything in conformity with the purpose of his will.

So when you feel like things are just not going according to plan, then lay down the plan and pick up the cross!  God’s got this!!
