I thought I would tell you a little about myself so we can get to know each other better.

The mission statement for my life is written on my office in large wall words:

Make a difference to someone every day.

I live in southeast Indiana on the Young family farm with my husband of 37 years. Roger and I have two grown daughters.

I am the Director of Operations for Iron Timbers, a family-owned custom furniture business featured currently, and for several years, on HGTV’s Good Bones show. Prior to this position, I was a paralegal and managed the international trademark portfolio for 34 years for the Hill-Rom division of Baxter International. I have a degree in Journalism and Speech Communications from Ball State University and a Paralegal Certification from Saint Mary of the Woods College.

My daughter and I are also Chi Omega sorority sisters!!

I am President of Bucket Buddies Mission, Inc. a non-profit that provides gift buckets of goodies to children’s hospitals to make a difference to children suffering from life-threatening illnesses. Bucket Buddies was created in memory of my sister. You can read more about Bucket Buddies Mission here.

Below are a few of my favorite things:

Decluttering, organizing, fashion, and decorating!

Football – Indianapolis Colts and anything that includes Peyton Manning!

All things Christmas – decorating, wrapping, watching Christmas movies, baking, gingerbread houses, the nativity and obviously the celebration of the birth of Jesus.

Traveling – we have been blessed to visit all 50 states. I love vacationing with family and friends!

I love playing the piano, riding my bicycle, walking on a beautiful sunny day, reading, writing, list-making, and organizing … yes, I am an organization freak!

I am passionate about my speaking ministry and writing devotions.

My statement of faith: I believe Jesus Christ is the Son of the Living God. I believe in the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit. I believe Jesus died for our sins and rose again on the third day. I believe that we are all sinners and are saved by the blood of Jesus. I believe we must accept Him as our personal savior in order to go to heaven. I believe God forgives us if we ask for forgiveness. I believe in the Roman Road to salvation which includes John 3:16, Romans 3:23 and Romans 6:23. I believe God loves us all and is heart broken when we do not accept His Son. I believe that Jesus Christ saved our sins and if we have a relationship with Him then we can spend eternity in heaven with Him.

I have been a Christian since I was 10. I recently retired from being the women’s ministry director at my church. I am a mentor mom for MOPS International and a coach for Clutter Free for Life, a clutter free organization created by Kathi Lipp.

I love sharing with other women how God is working in my life and helping them see how God is working in theirs.
