I thought I would tell you a little about myself so we can get to know each other better.

The mission statement for my life is written on my office in large wall words:

Make a difference to someone every day.

I live in southeast Indiana on the Young family farm with my husband of 38 years. Roger and I have two grown daughters.

I am a Christian who was called into the writing and speaking ministry in 2000 at a Christian women’s conference. I am thankful to be called to do something I love – TALKING.

In my professional life, I am a Trademark Paralegal for The Gorilla Glue Company. I have a degree in Journalism and Speech Communications from Ball State University and a Paralegal Certification from Saint Mary of the Woods College.

I love speaking to women’s groups, writing devotions, spending time with my family and being intentional about finding JOY in each day.

I am President of Bucket Buddies Mission, Inc. a non-profit that provides gift buckets of goodies to children’s hospitals to make a difference to children suffering from life-threatening illnesses. We recently expanded our reach to residents in nursing homes and clients at domestic violence shelters. Bucket Buddies was created in memory of my sister. Below are a few of my favorite things:

Decluttering, organizing, fashion, and decorating!

Sports – College basketball, softball and baseball especially the Tennessee Volunteers. I love the Indianapolis Colts and anything that includes Peyton Manning!

All things Christmas – Decorating, purchasing gifts for others, wrapping, watching Christmas movies, baking, decorating gingerbread houses and especially the celebration of the birth of Jesus.

Traveling – We have been blessed to visit all 50 states. I love vacationing with family and friends!

I love playing the piano, walking on a beautiful sunny day, visiting with friends, doing random acts of kindness, reading, writing, list-making, and organizing … yes, I am an organization freak!

I am passionate about my speaking ministry and writing devotions.

My statement of faith: I believe Jesus Christ is the Son of the Living God. I believe in the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit. I believe Jesus died for our sins and rose again on the third day. I believe that we are all sinners and are saved by the blood of Jesus. I believe we must accept Him as our personal savior in order to go to heaven. I believe God forgives us if we ask for forgiveness. I believe in the Roman Road to salvation which includes John 3:16, Romans 3:23 and Romans 6:23. I believe God loves us all and is heart broken when we do not accept His Son. I believe that Jesus Christ saved our sins and if we have a relationship with Him and are water baptized, then we can spend eternity in heaven with Him.

I have been a Christian since I was 10. I served as women’s ministry director for many years. I am a mentor mom for MomCo. International and a member of the Board of Directors for Carson Hughes Foundation and The Greatest Need Foundation.

I love sharing with other women how God is working in my life and helping them see how God is working in theirs.
