An Uncommon Way to Use a Zipper.
Lots of things have zippers:
- Coats
- Pants
- Purses
- Boots
- Coolers
- Tents
- Luggage
- Sleeping bags
And we could on and on.
A zipper is defined as something that commonly binds together two like types of material.
Zippers are used to close things together so they fit tighter, snugger; so everything inside stays put.
On National Zipper Day, I think it would be a good idea to think about using that zipper concept before we speak. Binding together our lips so they fit tighter, snugger; so everything inside stays put.
There are so many opinions on so many things these days. And so many platforms to tell our so many opinions about so many things.
Then sparks fly and there’s no stopping it.
But what if we chose today, just today, on National Zipper Day, to zip up our mouths? To zip up our comments whether out loud or on social media?
Maybe, just maybe, we could all be good examples of what peace could feel like if we just took a little time to “zip it” every now and then.
Maybe, just maybe, we could all be good examples of what peace could feel like if we just took a little time to “zip it” every now and then.

Wise counsel! I will remember to zip it more often!!
