I love to spend time with my friends. I love to eat. I love to laugh and have fun.
I recently hosted a Chocolate and Canvas event where an artist came to my home and taught us to paint on canvas while we ate chocolate. When I say “ate chocolate”, I mean ate LOTS of chocolate. We had a chocolate fountain flowing with milk chocolate. We dipped cookies, angel food cake, pretzels and fruit in chocolate. If I could have got my head under the fountain, I would have just allowed it to flow into my mouth! I love chocolate!
For this event, I invited some old friends and some new friends. We all laughed and encouraged each other in our little adventure to become artists, all the while relaxing and having fun.
Jesus did the same in his day. He had good friends. There are many counts in the Bible where He ate with other people. And we see where he enjoyed gathering together to probably have some fun.
Hebrews 10:25 says “Let us not give up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but let us encourage one another.” We are instructed to meet together and encourage one another. I’m glad this scripture is in the Bible. It’s a great reminder to not forget the simple things in life.
I think I will go call some friends, whip up some food, pull out the dominoes and plan some fun!! You do the same…….and feel free to invite me over. I’ll bring the chocolate!
