It’s Giving Tuesday!
If you are looking for a worthy cause in which to donate, I invite you to consider Bucket Buddies Mission. This is the non-profit we created in honor of my sister who passed away from cancer in 2014.
Bucket Buddies is designed to make a difference to children who are suffering from life-threatening illnesses by providing them with buckets of goodies. In light of Covid, it has been difficult to get buckets to the hospitals but we have found creative ways to ship gifts to the child advocates who help distribute them to the children.
We have also expanded our mission statement to include nursing homes during this rough time of residents not being able to visit with family. Our recent shipment to a skilled nursing facility in Michigan where our daughter is a physical therapist brought a smile to residents when they received the gifts of cards, word search books, puzzles and coloring books.
