Yesterday my friend and I were on our way home from one of THE MOST AMAZING weekends ever!! We had been in North Carolina since Wednesday attending the She Speaks conference put on by Proverbs 31 Ministries. It was an amazing weekend of learning, equipping and worshiping. I cannot even explain it!
As we got in the car to head back home, we typed our address in the car’s navigation system. It gave us several routes back home. My friend said, “pick the right way home.” I looked at her with a puzzled look on my face and she said, “well there are many right ways but pick the one that gets us back the way we came.”
We could choose from the quickest time; the shortest mileage way; the way with no interstates; or the way with very few two-lane highways. But she wanted the RIGHT way. The GPS was telling us they were all the right way and would all get us home.
The world is telling us that there are many “right ways” to choose to live our life and still end up in heaven. But I am here to tell you today, my friend, that there is only ONE RIGHT WAY. Jesus said in John 14:6 (NIV), “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.”
There’s only ONE way and it is through Jesus. It doesn’t matter if you live the sweetest life and follow every rule and are the nicest person in the world if you don’t know Jesus. It doesn’t matter how much money you give to the church or other charities or how much time you volunteer at the soup kitchen if you don’t know Jesus.
Jesus is the right way. Live for Him. Follow His ways. And you’ll find your way home… to an eternity in heaven.
