It was the title of one of my recent devotions.
Those two words carry a lot of weight.
Almost a burden of weight.
The world today convinces us that busyness and productivity equal our worth.
But that’s not true.
I lived that way for years. I was held almost “hostage” by my need for productivity and approval of others. But Jesus came to release us from the bondage of having to prove our worth.
The last paragraph in my devotion sums it all up. It really spoke to me, and I hope it speaks to you today as well.
“Accomplishing a lot may make us feel important, but what makes us important to God is what we allow Him to accomplish in us – conforming us into the image of His Son, Jesus.” (Julie, God Hears Her Devotion. 2017)
May we all break free from the “keeping busy” mentality and find our worth from Jesus.❤️
