My God is bigger than man.
Psalm 56:10-11 says “In God, whose word I praise, in the Lord, whose word I praise – In God I trust; I will not be afraid. What can man do to me?”
I’ve gone through a rough couple of weeks emotionally with a lot of stressful situations. It seems like there is always something weighing heavy on my mind.
I prayed out loud, on my knees for God to get me through this rough time. However, I told the Lord if He had something better for me than what I was praying for, I would trust in Him and not be afraid.
How many times do we say that – and we mean it – but we end up taking it back because we are not in control? As I read this passage of scripture, I realized it’s true. What can man do to me that God can’t fix? What can man do to me that my God isn’t greater to undo or to do better?
So I wait and I pray but it’s different now. I have a peace about it. Of course I want things to work out the way I think is best. But if the Lord has something better for me that I don’t know about, then yee haw! What can man do to me? I will trust in my God who is bigger than this whole universe to take me to wherever He needs me to be. And if I’m not “getting it” or not listening like I should be, then He will do whatever it takes to get me there. No matter what “man” does to me.
