I’ve watched a lot of basketball over the last few weeks.
Well honestly, I’ve watched a lot of basketball over my whole life.
The whole purpose of a basketball game is to see who can get the most points to WIN at end of a designated time period.
We strategize, study the opposing team, make a plan, and work so hard to have all we need to have the most points to win when the time on the clock expires.
So let me ask you a serious question.
Do you have the same sense of urgency about the end of your time?
When your biological clock expires, will you win and spend eternity in heaven?
It’s serious.
More serious than a basketball game.
And we have all the tools to prepare.
*The life guide of Truth in the Bible.
*Worship music to lead us into quiet time with the Lord.
*Godly pastors and teachers who follow the Bible to guide us in God’s Truth.
*And when we accept the invitation from Jesus to follow him, we have the Holy Spirit inside of us as our guide through each “quarter”, “half” and situations of our entire life.
But this is not a game.
It’s serious.
Winning in the end is much more important than March Madness.
I want you to be prepared.
I want us all to be prepared.
Don’t worry. I still love basketball. I will still be watching the games and cheering on my favorite teams.
But I will also be preparing myself to be closer to The Lord and gather all the available tools to share this path to victory with others.
Because as a Believer and Follower of Jesus, we win in the end!
