You are unique.

You are one of a kind.

You are special.

In Psalm 139:14, David cried out to the Lord, “I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made. Your works are wonderful.  I know that full well.”

God made us special, unique and one of a kind.  It’s a fact.  So we need to start believing it.  We have a purpose.  We want to leave behind a legacy that outlives our life.  A good one.  When people are standing at your funeral, you want people to celebrate your life and hold on to the positive  legacy you left behind.   You want your life to matter.

If you had been the student at Colombine High School and a gun was at your head, would you have said “YES, I believe in Jesus Christ”?

When you are at a restaurant do you still pray before you eat or are you afraid of who might see you?

When you see someone who needs a hand, do you help them or turn around pretending not to see?

When you know someone is struggling in everyday life, do you turn your emotions away or do you call them up to see how they are doing?  Buy them some groceries?  Fix them a meal?  Pay a bill for them?

We have a choice.  We have an opportunity to make a big difference during our lifetime.  What if we did?  What if YOU did………today?  What if we rocked this world with hope?  What if we chose to do one intentional act for Christ today?  If every Christian did that just one day, we could change the world.

Ephesians 2:10 says “For we are God’s workmanship, created in Christ Jesus to do good works which God prepared in advance for us to do.”

Carrie Underwood has a song titled “Change”.  The lyrics are:

“Whatcha gonna do with the 36 cents sticky with Coke on your floorboard.

When a woman on the street is huddled in the cold on a sidewalk vent trying to keep warm.

Do you call her over, hand her the change, ask her story, ask her her name?

Or do you tell yourself “you’re just a fool, just a fool to believe you can change the world?

* Whatcha gonna do when you’re watching TV and an ad comes on, yeah you know the kind?

Flashing up pictures of a child in need. For a dime a day you could save a life.

Do you call the number, reach out a hand, or do you change the channel, call it a scam?

Or do you tell yourself you’re just a fool, just a fool to believe you can change the world”?

Don’t listen to them when they say “Just a fool to believe you can change the world.”

*Oh the smallest thing can make all the difference. Love is alive, don’t listen to ‘em when they say You’re just a fool, just a fool to believe you can change the world.

The world’s so big it can break your heart

And you just want to help but not sure where to start

So you close your eyes, and send up a prayer in the dark.

*You’re just a fool, just a fool to believe you can change the world.

Don’t listen to them when they say you’re just a fool

Just a fool to believe you can change the world.

*The smallest thing can make all the difference.

Love is alive, don’t listen to ‘em when they say, you’re just a fool

Just a fool to believe you can change the world.”

Don’t listen to the naysayers.  Listen to God.  Ask Him to lead you to someone today whose world you can change……..someone today to whom YOU can make a difference.  Listen to that little voice inside of you and go make a difference.  You are special.  You are unique.  Leave your legacy behind so when this life is over, you know YOU made a difference to change something in your world.  Go on – get busy – go outlive your life for good!!
