Control your buying.
It really is that simple.
I think of all the stuff I have in my house and all the decluttering I have done over the last several years and think “Deanna, be selective about what you bring into this home that you have worked so hard to declutter.”
This week’s idea really can be pretty simple.
* No clearance shopping. When we clearance shop, we end up purchasing things we didn’t even know we needed until we saw it as a “good bargain”.
* Stop all automatic emails and txt messages from retail and specialty stores. Just unsubscribe.
* Make a list when you go shopping and don’t deviate from the list.
* Don’t go “shopping” just to go and browse. Go shopping only if you have a purpose.
* If you put something in your Amazon cart, let it sit for 2 days and then decide if you really need or want it.
* STOP SCROLLING. It keeps you from comparison and thinking you need something you didn’t even know was out there but yet are tempted to buy.
Mind over matter.
Mind over control of things that matter.
Cutting spending…it really does matter.
You’ve got this!
Yes!! I needed this!
My motto this year is “tuck it in!” I too have been decluttering. If I purchase something, then something needs to be donated or discarded. I need to unsubscribe and not read fashion blogs. It’s very suggestive of me to buy something because a blogger said it’s the style or it’s the color for the season!! I don’t need it.
Thank you for your insight!
Blessings.
