“YOU ARE SO LAZY YOU WILL NEVER AMOUNT TO ANYTHING!” I’ve heard stories of people who have said that to their children.
You can’t take it back. You can’t take words back. It’s like trying to put toothpaste back into the tube. It can’t be done. Words can be hurtful and the hurt can last a long time.
You are unique.
You are one of a kind.
You are special.
The other day I was driving to work down a side road and there were baby calves running and chasing each other, playing in the field. I stopped my car for a couple of minutes just to watch. They were so peaceful and carefree and happy. Not a worry in the world; running through the open field of newly greening grass and openness that seemed to go on for miles. I felt “peaceful, and carefree and happy” as I watched them. I think I could have sat there for an hour (but didn’t think my boss would appreciate that!) hahahha
Psalm 118:24 – This is the day the Lord has made; we will rejoice and be glad in it.
I was reading my journal from a couple months ago. It said, “I didn’t sleep much last night because Kiersten has an interview at Bellarmine University for physical therapy school. She wants this really bad. I pray that she can get it. She didn’t get accepted in Chicago last year after her interview at the college there and I am nervous for her. I will keep praying.”
