Each morning we get up to a new day!!  We may start breakfast with fresh squeezed orange juice or a fresh pot of coffee.  Each day we get the opportunity to start all over.

Sometimes we wake up and think “here we go again.  Another day. Same old job; same old cluttered house; same old problems.”  But I am here to encourage us all today!  Let’s not have the same old attitude.  Let’s have a fresh new attitude!

It’s not the SAME OLD DAY.  It’s a new day!  Let’s take the SAME OLD JOB and make it something exciting – maybe see if you can take a boring project and spice it up a bit – go the extra mile to send the end result above and beyond the expectation.  Same old job but fresh new attitude!

SAME OLD VEHICLE?  What if you get in that same old vehicle but drive it through the car wash, clean it out and put in a sweet smelling air freshener and thank God that you have a vehicle to get you to where you are going?  Same old vehicle…….but cleaner and fresh smelling!

The SAME OLD CLUTTERED HOUSE?  Create a plan to get rid of clutter.  Set a timer for 15 minutes each day and concentrate on one area of clutter a day and organize, throw away, give away anything that doesn’t belong or you don’t want.  There are plenty of books and websites to help organize your clutter.  Redecorate with things from other rooms.  Move things around from room to room – even it’s a picture or a vase.  Get some fresh flowers and place on the table.  Then thank God for a house to live in and STUFF to organize.  Same old house…… but freshly organized and pretty!

SAME OLD PROBLEMS?  Don’t focus on them.  Give them to God.  Ask Him to help you get through the problems and to focus on Him.  When we give all of our attention to God and focus on the Creator of all things, our problems take on a different perspective.  They may still be the same old problems………but God will help us have a fresh new attitude of trust in Him.

Every day is a new day.  How exciting!  Each day we get a fresh canvas to start over.  George Eliot said “it’s never too late to be what you might have been.”

What is it that you would like to do today?  It’s not too late.  God is calling you to a fresh start.  Has He placed something in your heart that you have been ignoring?  Is there something you need to give over to Him and let Him handle?  Are there things you need to clean up in your life – physically, emotionally, or practically?  Is there someone you need to forgive or need to ask to forgive you?

TODAY IS A NEW DAY!   MAKE THE MOST OF IT!  It’s not too late to make a fresh start. Or to have a glass of fresh squeezed orange juice or maybe even a mouth-watering fresh donut! Emoji
