Remember the AT&T commercial several years ago before there were cell phone towers everywhere?  It showed people walking around on their cell phone without AT&T service down on the ground or holding their phone way up in the air trying to get signal saying, “can you hear me now?  can you hear me now?”

It got to be kind of a funny little saying after a while but as more towers and satellites went up in to the air, cell phone coverage became very wide-spread.

Thank goodness we do not need a cell tower for the Lord to hear us.

In II Chronicles 7:14 God says “if my people who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will HEAR from heaven and will forgive their sin and heal their land. ”

David cries out to God in Psalm 86: 6-7:  “Hear my prayer, O Lord; listen to my cry for mercy.  In the day of my trouble I will call to you, for you will answer me.”

God hears our prayers.  He always answers.  Sometimes it may be “yes”.  Sometimes it may be “no.”  And sometimes it may be “wait a while.”  But He can always HEAR us.

What about the other way around?  He may be calling YOU to do something for Him.  He may have asked time and again and you are ignoring Him.  He is saying “Can you hear me now”?  If so, I encourage you today to answer “Yes, I can hear you now”.
