Type the word “detox” in the Pinterest® app and you will get every kind of green concoction ever created that will help rid your body of toxins.  There are recipes for warm water with tea bags and lemon; a green smoothie with chia seeds and kale; a blueberry something with cinnamon.

People add honey, turmeric and apple cider vinegar to their diets.  They take out sugar and flour.  Add more water and fresh fruits.  Twenty days with only things grown from the earth and 30 days with nothing white after midnight.  Basically………if it starts tasting good – hurry up and spit it out!! hahaha

We try so many things to detox our bodies to make sure they are healthy and operating at full capacity; to make sure there is nothing harmful in the blood stream or the digestive system to keep us from ridding ourselves of toxins.

But what about our minds and our thoughts?  How can we detox all of the negativity we see everyday and hear on the air waves?  How can we eliminate all of those toxins from our brain to let great thoughts of God’s love and His mercy and His peace penetrate our minds?

It’s not eating more greens, taking more herbs or rubbing on more essential oils (although I agree with all of this for healthy living).  It’s about reading the Word of God; letting His Living Water soak into our brains; taking every negative thought captive and ridding it from our minds.

Prayer. Quiet Time. Reading the Bible.  Thinking on Jesus.  These are the best detoxers that I know of!  Happy Detoxing!!
