The measure of a life, after all, is not its duration but its donation.  – Corrie Ten Boom

When we donate to a worthy cause we are doing it to make a difference to someone. I think about all the opportunities our family has had to donate to organizations over the years such as:
Make-A-Wish Foundation
Operation Christmas Child
Bucket Buddies Mission
Riley Children’s Hospital
Ronald McDonald House
Angels of Giving
World Vision
St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital
Just to name a few…….

I love donating items and time to worthy causes.  Seeing smiles on the children’s faces when they get a book at Riley Children’s Hospital, a wish granted by Make-A-Wish Foundation or a gift bucket from Bucket Buddies Mission makes the donations seem so worthwhile.  You can see how you really make a difference through donations.

That same concept of donation applies to your life.  What kind of a donation are you making with your life?  Are you giving a good donation of your time to your family, your friends, your church?  Or are you giving the donation to the world through long hours on the job or a lot of hours watching television?

As a new day dawns, you are given another opportunity to make a meaningful donation.  Ask yourself today, “when I look back over my life and all that I have done, can I say that I made a meaningful donation during my life’s duration?”  I hope you can, but if not, start right now.  It’s never too LATE for you to DONATE!
