I am a mess.
This house is a mess.
This town is a mess.
This state is a mess.
This country is a mess.
This world is a mess.

Yes we live in messes.  Everywhere.  And I don’t just mean trash lying around, dishes in the sink and dirty socks on the floor.   Our hearts are a mess.  Our heads are a mess.  Our attitudes are a mess.  People are just a mess.

And don’t point fingers.  We are ALL messes.  And we all contribute to the messes in this world because we are all sinners.  The Bible tells us in Romans 3:23 that all have sinned and have fallen short of the glory of God.  Everyone.  No finger-pointing.  We are all in this mess together.

BUT, Paul also tells us there is hope in Romans 6:23 because although the wages of sin is death, we have hope in that the gift of God is eternal life with Christ Jesus in heaven if we just accept Him as our Savior.

Can you imagine if we had this massive revolution in this world where people started turning to Christ and living for Him?  Can you just imagine how much better, little by little, this world would be?

We have to start small.  We have to start with ourselves and our household, and our neighborhood and then our city and our state and eventually the country and the world!  It’s God’s desire to see everyone come to Him.

Our prayer Challenge today is to pray for yourself to know Christ better and if you haven’t met Him yet to know Him for the first time.  (Call me if you don’t know Him.  I would love to introduce you. 🙂 ) Then pray for someone in your family who doesn’t know Him and then pray for one person in your community to come to know Him.

We all have people we are friends with who don’t know Christ.  Let’s take today’s prayer challenge serious and keep praying for specific people to come to know Christ.

II Chronicles 7:14 – If my people, who are called by name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and I will forgive their sin and will heal their land.

There is hope.  We just have to get on our knees and pray for God to start cleaning up the messes little by little…dirty sock by dirty sock.
