Kick It….

A soccer ball.
A football.
A kick ball.

Dirt.
Tires.
A can.

Cancer.
A bad habit.
An addiction.

Kick it to the curb.
Kick it in the butt.
Kick it to the moon.

We must be on watch because the devil is right there waiting to tempt us and to bring us down.  I Peter 5:8 “Be sober-minded; be watchful. Your adversary the devil prowls around like a roaring lion, seeking someone to devour.”

When the devil is lingering around and pressuring us and causing us to stray further away from God, we need to kick him just like we kick a ball or a can!  We need to kick him to the curb and kick him hard!  The best way to do it is by quoting scripture and praising God out loud.  We need to tell the devil to get away and kick him with our Christianity right back to where he belongs.  The devil hates nothing more than when we kick him in the teeth with our confidence in the One who created it all.

James 4:7 “Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.”

If you have a bad habit or a stronghold that needs to be kicked today, then do it!  Ask for help from the Lord. And if the devil starts bothering you – and he eventually will – give him a swift kick, too.  To the curb. In the butt. Back to where he belongs.  Stand up and start kicking!
