On Day 2 of our Random Acts of Kindness week, I want to share with you a story of a kindness act done for me.

On my 50th birthday, my friend asked around 50 of my friends and family to write letters or cards to me about a memory they had of me throughout my life.  She collected these letters and placed them in a gift wrapped box for me to open on my birthday.  My husband and I were going to be in Arizona on my birthday so she sent them secretly with my husband so that I would have them to open on the exact day of my 50th birthday.  I’m not sure how many cards and letters there were but it is one of the most special acts of kindness I have ever received.  I still get those cards out and read them when I am having a down day.

Your challenge for the day:

Pick out a card and write in it  and tell someone how special they are to you!!  (the old fashioned way – with a stamp and placed in a mail box – no e-cards or e-mails).

Have fun spreading kindness!!

***I would love for you to share your kindness act or one that has been done for you with me either on the comment of this blog or at deannadayyoung@outlook.com.
